Pennsylvania Tracks on Partial Shutdown

Looks like the Penn tracks will be affected by the shutdown issued by the governor. Overall Link

According to The Bloodhorse, this will not affect the slots players, but it looks like the tracks will be shut down at least for today.

I guess *(*&^%$#@#$%^&* slot machines are more important then
the horses ? But in all fairness, with this heat, the ponies can enjoy the rest out of the sun.

Too bad that moron can't furlough himself and his Lt. Governer. To be honest I have way too many friends affected by this who can't even collect unemployment unless it lasts for over a week who are losing at least a days pay to feel bad about the bettor. Track & casino employeees I feel for.

And an FYI, the slots aren't out of the water yet.

Trust me, I don't feel bad for the bettors when it comes to the 'little guys' that make the tracks/casinos run. Take for instance the far underpaid backstretch workers that can be financially ruined by even 1-3 days without pay.

Hopefully this will be taken care of soon...

I'm glad someone is trying to put the brakes on excessive salaries and benefits for public employees. We, the taxpayer, are footing the bill.
