Anyone care to explain to us Non TG Folks?

Thanks

Speed figures that are faster as numbers decline. They take weight and ground loss into account. Sumwon is getting faster with fitness, experience and distance, and has generally been on the constant improve. Her figs right now (9.25/10) place her squarely in ALW or expensive claiming company. Improvement into the 7-8 range makes her an ALW winner and puts her into marginal stakes company. Below that, (6 or less), into the ranks of yesterday's Dogwood field.

Lower the number the better. She has improved EVERY race. Last number in bold is her TG #. 3w4w etc describes how wide she ran (3rd lane etc.) the rest is self explainatory other than to me she paired up her last 2 and didn't actually run a new top as I'm taking into consideration the hesitation to switch leads in her loss to Girl's Pearls 2 back.

Beth, thanks for the info. Steve and Dell thanks for the explanations.

When comparing numbers from the different services, do they tend to rank horses in a given race about the same? And how does everyone use these figs? Best for tossing pretenders? Spotting overall improvemant?

Hey, any idea what SWLY's sleep number is?

Thanks for explanations.

I use the numbers similar to how one would use Beyers. I think Brown's numbers are more precise and thus superior not to mention the public has beyers but not TG's. Rags are about the same IMO however I'm more familiar and thus comfortable looking at TG's.

From what Chuck has said she may be a zero or neg number for sleep.

10 then a 9 is pretty good considering we had very little ground loss and carried low weights both of which will cause the # to be lower. I think that she can carry 5 lbs more and have it be totally inconsequential but give her a lower # yet.

she also got bumped by the two, ran between, came back at the winner and is still a filly. Just trying to revel in the positives. And Chuck good luck today with T.R.

Chuck, gotta compliment you on her in a different way. EVERY sheet user that I was personally around was tossing her last time, I tell them no, but this was pre-pick six so nobody listened to me, her not bouncing off her huge increase is a great job by you and your staff, and the slight increase is even better. now stop kicking my ass in FB

She's going in the right direction...only getting better and it shows, thanks to Chuck and his crew.
