This looks like a great lineup. One request: I would love to hear from Helen Pitts and her thoughts if you could get her on this week.

Paul,

Appreciate the suggestion, and I will say some things about her today, but we shouldn't bother Pitts this week.. Saturday was a very difficult day for her and her staff on several fronts, and though she's been very polite with the media, really doesn't want to have to answer any more questions about the colt. Her place in Curlin's success is clear to everyone who knows her work. He wouldn't be where he is as a racehorse without her touch on him.

I was thinking about Einstein, not Curlin...

I would imagine that the way that race played out was more than disappointing to Helen Pitts.

I think I am qualified to answer for her....

" It sucked that a horse broke down, who I feel the most pain for, and it caused my rider to fall off. "

Re: Pitts, let's just be happy for her that Einstein came out of the incident in good order and she can try again with him in the Manhattan.

I feel for Wolfson. He did a great job with the horse and it was a really freaky accident, he wasn't even at maximum exertion at that point in the race.
