If friggin NY would put the gambling winnings towards education instead of in the general fund maybe the property taxes would be lower.
ie...if you win the lottery, that amount is taxed as earned income and that tax goes to the general fund. any gambling income should be taxed so that it goes to education. these are typical NY ripoff politics however. a % of the amount wagered goes to education but not any of the winnings.... death and taxes are the only guarantees in this world. |
