This IS WHAT WE NEEDED. We all should flood them and sign up so then these other jamokes will get all tracks and we can all be happy. This is good news.

Almost makes up for the outrageous Property Taxes we pay here.. and at least gives hope that I can offset the 50% increase I received on my assessment last month...

Maybe you can adopt Scav? You can claim another exemption and he can do the NYRA thing. WinWin.

I believe CT is not allowed as their state attorney general filed an objection with NYRA against CT residents betting over the internet. According to the NYRA website its NY only now.

Don't know why it is that if I type a response, the thread doesn't come back to the top.

Well once they found out that it was doubling as a bed and breakfast for the Saratoga meet what did you expect??

If friggin NY would put the gambling winnings towards education instead of in the general fund maybe the property taxes would be lower.

ie...if you win the lottery, that amount is taxed as earned income and that tax goes to the general fund. any gambling income should be taxed so that it goes to education. these are typical NY ripoff politics however. a % of the amount wagered goes to education but not any of the winnings....

death and taxes are the only guarantees in this world.

You can open a phone account with NYRA from anywhere (well, except Utah.)

Trying the NYRA internet software tonight. Just some BS $2 show wagers at Penn National. Seems to be very easy and effective!

sumitas 05-16-2007 08:31 PM
