Favre wants to be Traded

I knew he'd want out after finding out we didn't match New Englands offer for Moss. Hell New England never over pays for anyone and they think he's worth it and they had less cap room than we do. I guess I'm proud of ole #4 for standing up to out GM Ted Thompson and Telling him he wants out of his penny pinching Team. Good for you Brett maybe more people should grow some and tell TT what they really think about him.

Sounds like Brett has been listening to the "Roger the Rocket"!

Favre needs to shut his mouth...he hamstrings the team with his "will I play or will I not play" garbage every year. He had a great career and he should have rode back to Mississippi a while ago, when the Packers slid back big time. Everytime he whines about not having the weapons, he sounds increasingly selfish and aloof. I didn't hear Tom Brady moan about having Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney as his top options this past year. All he did was shut his mouth and do what he could, which in the end, was pretty damn good all things considered. You didn't hear the Bears defense chirp about how bad their counter parts on offense (ie Rex Grossman) were. They just went out there and dealt. Favre should shut up and do the same or go home for good.

Now you obviously are much more in tune with the Packer situation than I am....but from a disinterested persons point of view, my take on this is Favre should listen to that age old phrase and not "shiat where he eats." The Packers have been loyal to Favre at the expense of their team....what I mean by this is his announcements and career plans have basically held this organization hostage for the last 3 or 4 years....does he still have it? who knows....but it certainly hasn't seemed like it over the past couple of years....no way he leaves GB. For what? To carry a clip board and wear a visor on someone's sideline while he watches a 23 year old kid struggle....I don't think so...

I would have to agree that he should shut up and just play. I never saw Favre as the drama queen type, but in the last couple of years he is just that.

Today he wants to be traded. Tomorrow he won't. The next day he will want to wait and see. Come on, Brett, you are just an attention whore at this point in your career, which I simply cannot respect...

I think the guy gets whatever the F!!! he wants myself. Name another QB who has started for the same team for over the past 15 years. He's only had one losing season in all of them. So with that get off my boyz back ya'll!!!!!!!!

i can understand favres disgust at knowing his team didn't go after a player that he was told they were going to get--but by the same token, if randy moss is the linchpin between getting somewhere or not, well, it sounds like they have some major issues!!

i feel favre may have lost a step or two, BUT he's still a hell of a quarterback, and still outplays many starting qb's in the league. all the bs about him stopping the team, or holding them up imo is just that, bs. he may want to win another championship (who doesn't??), and the team may be looking at rebuilding for the future, but who says an older qb can't be part of the process? since when does rebuilding mean tearing down everything, including the foundation? that's not rebuilding, that's starting from scratch. give an up-and-comer time to get where he needs to be as qb, while the tried and true gets them thru this year.

i don't really think he wants a trade, but i think he let some temper get the best of him. that's why i personally try to keep from speaking when i get pissed, nothing to apologize for later!!

also, ,what i forgot to say--in this day and age, with revolving team doors for so many players, it's not as tho the players they are trying to 'rebuild with' might not have to learn to go with a new qb anyway, it happens to every team due to the salary cap. there aren't many franchise players any more, so the whole 'need to start with a new qb to rebuild' thing is ridiculous imo.

Well, if I didn't love Drew Brees so much, I'd love for him to join the Saints!
