Keemland one of the last to use colored sadle cloths and probably the last track to have a caller of the race. One of the first with artificial serface and now the tracking graphics. Is this tracking graphics expensive? From what Ive heard it is basicly an improved gps chip attached to the saddle. Maybe it isnt as useful to everyone but it does help me follow the races.

Thought this was the '92 Florida Derby thread.

My bad.

I find the chiclets rather annoying. I would prefer every square inch of monitor space be used for the race that is running. I want the largest, clearest picture I can get.

I agree about the large clear picture during the race.

I do like the distant traveled stats that it gives. Would add an interesting element to handicapping if 1 it is accurate and 2 if more tracks added this information to their databases

I've found the chicklets annoying too.
However, watching the derby, I almost wished they had them in some form.
A 20 horse field and an overhead view, I had no clue who was where.
It would be interesting how the general public (non horse racing fans) thought of it as they watched the NBC broadcast. Surely they had no idea where there horse was, and would probably love it.

Chiclets werent needed in this year's Derby. Only 2 horses did any sort of running. The only horse I watched throughout was Hard Spun until Street Sense made his patented rail move. What happened to the other 18 horses this year? Funny day to not show up.
