Chilukki is dead at 10

Chilukki, 1999 champion juvenile filly, died Monday at the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Ky., due to foaling complications, Stonerside Stables announced. The 10-year-old Cherokee Run mare's Ghostzapper foal, a colt, also died. Chilukki, a daughter of Song of Syria, by Damascus, has been buried at Stonerside near Paris, Ky.

That's really sad. What a nice filly she was.

A true credit and a legendary member of the 1-p family. They were never able to find the right mate for her unfortunately.

That's terrible, to lose both of them. My heart goes out to her owners.

Very sad; I was just reading the article in Thoroughbred Times... What a loss for the owners.

Man she was one of the fastest filly's I've ever saw. Records at alot of different tracks and Stakes.
