NoBiz and Shipping...

Blinkers, cotton, whatever else can't seem to get this horse to run well...I know he didn't really ship in the Wood...do you think this also is a problem for him? Shouldn't Tagg have brought him in a week or two sooner to try and get him used to the enviroment and/or crowds?
I think if this horse can get his head out of his a$$, he could be sitting on top very soon.

Aside from a few bumps here or there, I thought Nobiz had a dream setup in the Derby and simply proved he wasn't good enough.

Exactly, right, Mr Stone.

And, if this wasn't evident about NoCOUNT PRIOR to the DERBY it certainly should be subsequently

well, for most, anyway

When's he shipping in? I can go over to Pim and scream in his face for 15 minutes...help toughen him up.

That's funny right there!!
Scream like Sam Kinison used to, just might work.

cakes44 05-07-2007 02:25 PM

Is it okay for me to think that he is just another descendant of Storm Cat that didn't get any better from 2 to 3? Everybody seems to think that just because he's big that he has that much more potential than all the other horses. What has he done in any of his races other than his maiden to justify that?

JDank34 05-07-2007 02:25 PM

SlowBiz is just that SLOW...always has been and always will be. He is simply not good enough.

Cajungator26 05-07-2007 03:06 PM

Nobiz reminds me of Strong Contender for some reason.

I realize that Nobiz disappointed a bit in the Derby, but don't you think this is a little harsh. Next thing you know, he'll be compared to Dr. Pleasure.

I was thinking more like Susie Green the Wife from Hell on "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

I think he 'disappointed a bit' WELL BEFORE the Derby.

boswd 05-07-2007 03:50 PM

he reminds me of Rock Hard Ten

sumitas 05-07-2007 04:21 PM

he's not a Storm Cat. he's by Albert the Great, then Go For Gin back to Ribot. his broodmare sire is Storm Cat. he reminded me of Point Determined who ran a similar race last year at CD. never did much after that race either.

Is Dr. Pleasure still in training?

I would love to own Nobiz. You guys must of lost a whole lot of money on him. This bashing is getting real old.

Hickory Hill Hoff 05-07-2007 07:28 PM

How bout Eddington...he reminds me of him.

I'm not bashing him. He reminds me of Strong Contender because the talent is there, but he's never really let it all out...

I didn't lose money on Nobiz, either. I lost money on Scat Daddy. :p

Guys come on. this horse won a Grade 1 over a horse many of you here selected to run well in the Derby (AGS). He is a nice horse that did not run particularly well in the derby. neither did a bunch of other horses though not only this year but in years past. To compare him to Dr Pleasure? Get real.

This was his only off the board finish yet and I would say jury is still out on what he is or will become to be honest. I think you will see an improved performance in the Belmont given the pace scenario that usually shapes up and the layout of Belmont Park. Just my two cents
