Any sightings of Sightseeing?

What is next for him? Is Shug looking at a Saratoga campaign (as I last heard) or could he pop up before then? The Preakness seems out, I guess, but the Preakness undercard has that race they used to call the Sir Barton (now renamed after Barbaro) that would be a nice indicator if he was ready for the Belmont.

Yeah, I realize he is still eligible for nx1.

There's always the Pete Pan at Bel. I think that's the prep for the last leg of the triple crown.

You know, I had a brain fart and forgot the Peter Pan--a more likely choice for Shug (and graded, too), although going back to one turn is a minor issue.

Not a bad comeback race spot but I think it is 2 weeks from the Belmont(or at least used to be). Don't know if Shug would want that turnaround.

Last I read the plan was the Peter Pan and then Belmont if all went well.

Sightseeing's grandpa went that route(A.P. Indy) and won both races. I would like to see this guy in the Peter Pan.

I've always loved Shug & Phipp's horses...Sightseeing is NOT in the same class as SS or HS.
If SS wins the Preakness, he'll may face 5 or less in the Belmont & Sightseeing isn't the one who will "upset" the apple cart.

officially skipping the preakness and instead going in the peter pan, then the jim dandy.

I think they moved it up a week. I know it was run on Preakness Day last year though I believe it is the Sunday of that weekend this year.

Hoffy I think he faces more, I don't know who, there is a month for that...
2004 Smarty Jones-9 Entries
2002 War Emblem-11 entries + 1 scratch

I said it elsewhere, nothing is free in this game and I don't think anyone is going to step aside and just give it to SS.

Like I have said before, the Phippses breed horses whose long-striding physique is better suited to the 9f and 12f tracks on the NY circuit than to 8f ovals elsewhere. Shug knows that, I'm sure.
