Steve Nash

... needs to get off the blood thinners.

Great Balls O' Fire how much can one man bleed...

onebadbeast 05-06-2007 06:37 PM

That Guy Looks Sickly.

pgardn 05-06-2007 08:12 PM

OK he looks like he got a big gash, Grand Canyon.
Liquid Bandade was not gonna close that.

And they did not need to put the stuff in his eyes either.

timmgirvan 05-06-2007 09:20 PM

Is it true that Dirk got the MVP? I heard that leaked out....hope it goes to Nash

ARyan 05-06-2007 09:25 PM

I love the fact that he didn't go down and cry like that Spurs baby did.

Heart of a hockey player in that point guard. Love him.

Parker falls down all the time. And he has a big ole lump on his forehead. If that was boxing and Nash took that shot to the forehead instead of the bridge of the nose he would have gone down also. Especially to make sure the foul was called.:)
Oh yes. His lady was in the stands and she likes to play nurse...errr disturbed houswife.

BTW they wont let Nash cover that Spurs baby cause he cant keep up. Great offense. No D for Nash. Nash is still one of the great distributors and floor spacing players of all time. Almost magical what Nash can do to an offense. He adjusts better than any point guard I have seen.

Nash can run some wind-sprints after the season ends to build his speed:)

His change of direction on offense is ungodly. Nash on defense is pitiful. The Suns have to put Shawn Marion on Parker and he cant cover him. So they put Marion on Duncan and he cant cover him. And then the announcers boast how incredibly versatile Marion is. I love that versatility. Both Parker and Duncan have their best offensive games against this versatile defender.

And to Scuds: That choking Frenchman will never make the Finals... said it about 100 times after the Spurs lost to the Lakers. Wrong 100 times. The NBA playoffs has go to be killin you Scuds. The Spurs have the Mavericks out of the way... God help you guy, the roaches are back. And they dont die easy because they are a good TEAM. Ya must be just dyin.:D
Best record of any sports franchise in the last 10 years, 3 championships, it has got to be very, very frustrating on ya hatta.

Pgardn: I hate it when you get this way...although it's rare! I like the Spurs alot, and there's ample evidence that they could be in the finals. But Stevie Nash is "a thing of beauty" and it is OK by me if he can't help out on D much. It's not like the league is known for the defense....just poor shooters!

Timm I love good defense because it is much more difficult than offense. Defense flat out kills your legs. It is horribly difficult to actually play big minutes if one really puts out on defense. You have to rest, have to.

It is not easy to see, but teams that play good help defense is a thing of beauty. Dunks, shooting, crossovers, those are so easy for these guys. Seeing the entire court like Nash and having a perfect sense of figures in motion in 3-D. Very difficult. Playing good hard defense, quick hands, quick feet, no quads left after 4 minutes... underappreciated and never mentioned.
And its not all about steals and blocks. Its just pestering the crud out of your opponent for 48 minutes. Little ball tip to disturb (not necessarily steal) a dribble and get in a guy's head. A little deflection of a pass so it is off course to a wide open shooter who is unable to get the shot because of the deflection. This stuff almost never gets mentioned. And I love it, the pervert that I am. So because of Nash and his bipolar play, it brings out the bipolar statements. He is not as awful on defense as he is good on offense.

And I clearly understand why people do not like the Spurs. They win in an NBA that advertises flash over substance. Individual over team.

pgardn 05-12-2007 10:02 PM

Got tired of Nash being MVP so they gave it to Dirk.
I guess his back and nagging injuries helped sway the vote but he is the most valuable player hands down. If Phoenix did not have Nash they would be a .500 team.

sucks....
