'SWLY' UPDATE: Spirited in Return

Parked at the barn for the day and spoke to Cherie about Sumwon's return to the track Thursday. She said the big girl was delighted to get back out yesterday, was jumping and bucking, and 'ran the chute like it was a meadow'... She wanted to gallop, but Cherie didn't let her. She says the race took little out of her and Sumwon appears 100% on all fronts... News just continues to stay positive (knock on wood)... Light training hours today and tomorrow, and Chuck does no training Sundays after Derby because of the cleanup noise in the infield, so Sumwon will only make jogging appearences the next couple of days...

More as we know it...

more GREAT news about our girl !

I bet it is going to be very hectic around Churchill. Unsettling noises today through sunday. We should see about getting her an i-Pod.

seriously that sounds really great. I don't think we heard about her bucking and kicking before she had her race. Sounds like she loves being at Churchill with Chuck and company.

I did a search on SUMWONLOVESYOU and found a comment that was for her last race on Equibase.

"SUMWONLOVESYOU - Martinez will most likely be able to get this filly to break out quickly here. Always good to invest in a trainer with this kind of strong win percentage - 20 percent - at this distance & surface."

Good to hear the news.....

LOL - she's proud of herself, she thinks she won it, putting those other fillies away at the top of the stretch last weekend.

Yes, girl, you're all that :D

Thanks for the "backside" update!

Wonderful to read about Sumwon's change in attitude towards her work over the last two months. Well done, Team Simon!
