1000 Guineas

fillies version on Sunday.. Finsceal Beo (translated as "Living Legend" from Irish - apt name!) looks very tough to beat..Arch Swing would be a treat if she recovers in time from her slight setback..

I think Scarlet Runner is a cracking ew bet. She did nothing wrong when beating Sander Camillo (don't be fooled, she was fit enough and had everything in her favour).

Everyone discounted the Nell Gwyn winner last year, and look what happened.

The Bolger filly will be tough to beat, but she might be more of an end of season filly. She is likely to be about 11/8 on the day, and for a classic you have got to take her on with something of more value.

Sander Camillo!!!! I've always loved this girl...I really hope that she does a great job :).

I like Sander but didnt like her reappearance run..

I may put a small tiny bet on Darrfonah.. 440 on Betfair.. way too big for a G1 placed horse and Brittain has worked miracles before. I would have liked if McEvoy was on her though!

If kieren were riding her..... :)

Regardless, she wins here!

Finsceal looks a class apart.. very very impressive on Sunday..now if only US Ranger had won, Id have had a super lucky 15 with Street Sense Rags to Riches and Finsceal Beo.

You rigth Brock I saw the race. Read this note, she is superb.
FINSCEAL BEO's runaway 1,000 Guineas victory was on Monday judged superior to any since 1998 by Racing Post Ratings expert Paul Curtis, who ranked her the world's top filly or mare. Curtis described the race as 'a brilliant 1,000 Guineas' and the Jim Bolger-trained winner as the best since Cape Verdi.

On pedigree she would have struggled to stay the mile, she is a nice filly who should be better back over 6 and 7 furlongs, don't give up on her.
