Contender workouts at Keeneland

You can view several of them on Keeneland's site if you haven't already seen them...

I realize that I'm biased, but I really liked how Scat Daddy looked. I didn't really care for Liquidity's work.

Does anyone know what horse that was that was working with Any Given Saturday?

Thunder Gulch 04-24-2007 03:49 PM

I think that was Rags To Riches with AGS. She's going to be a handful in the Oaks.

Danzig 04-24-2007 03:51 PM

according to bloodhorse, it was pleasant strike.

Thanks! I thought he looked better than AGS! LOL

rags to riches worked with circular quay.

Realized my mistake when I watched.. RTR is a beast compared to little Quay.

Incidentally, XChanger is apparently on the auction block for someone who wants a Derby horse.

Then load up on him this Friday in the 10th at Keeneland. He's running against a field of 12 on the turf at 1 1/8 with a couple other decent horses in there so you should get decent odds.

Thanks Cajun! SD looked good. I thought Rags to Riches looked real good.

What do you think?

whorstman 04-24-2007 06:23 PM

Did I even have the right horses? I thought CQ was on the inside, no?

It's kinda funny how small he is even next to a filly... he's got a unique blaze, doesn't he?

Yeah, that's a trip. I liked how he was right in path, head steady. He looked real streamlined. Him just a little guy.:p

Yes he is... I'm most concerned about that for him on Derby day. It'll be tough getting knocked around by 19 other horses when he weighs 800 lbs soaking wet.

Well, if he's chillin' at the back of the pack like normal, he may not have to worry about that.

Not something I'm willing to gamble on... the trip means a lot. What happens when he's making his move and in front of him are half a dozen horses backing up? Then what? Nah...

Very true. Trip is EVERYTHING. That's why they call it gambling baby!:D

I sense fear?

For real, I really like his chances to hit the board, maybe 4th. Pends on how much ground he can cover DTS.
