Jazil scratched

Does anyone know why?

Question prompted me to get KMc to join us at 6:30pm tonight..

They weren't thrilled with the softer turf scenario as a first grass try.. They will go in the Elkhorn with him instead...

GEAUX SAINTS!

Also, their reasoning was that at a mile and an eighth he could get beat and they won't know if he was too short or if he didn't like the turf and would have to run him on it again to be sure. At a mile and a half they know if he runs poorly he doesn't like the surface and they can go back to the dirt. I'd like to see them ship him out for the Hollywood Gold Cup.

WOW....The Hollywood Gold Cup!!!!! I was at Keeneland today and the Police were lined up getting ready for their assignment before he scratched.....the assignment was to arrest him after the race for impersonating a RACEHORSE

Guess I know who you didn't bet on Belmont day. Ten furlongs is where he will just start to be effective and who knows what will happen on the cushion track. No other east coast horses will likely ship out there which will make it a pretty easy spot to run second.

Sniper...actually I did bet on Jazil in the Belmont...but the fact IS that he is completely compromised by pace and at LEAST 10 panels....a combo which he is very unlikely to get again.....I say he NEVER wins again

Running second out there would be a solid accomplishment even if he never wins again. Who is going to be the second choice? Molengao? Is Ace Blue still around? The horses suck out there right now besides Lava Man who really isn't that great either compared to California horses just three years ago. Where else would you run Jazil? The only other 10 furlong race Invasor is going to. Might as well take a shot at Hollywood.

I agree with you completely.....however, they must manage him very carefully in order to get some black type on turf if they are trying to make him a more attractive stallion prospect. I for one don't think he could get a full book of mares if he stood for 5,000 in Florida right now.

It is unfortunate that everyone is so hellbent on speed freaks and no one cares about stamina these days both on message boards and in breeding sheds.

I care about stamina in pedigrees... I'm scared about what's happening to the breeding industry right now.
