Great story! Didn't mention the ages of the foursome, but what a thrill for those ladies! She did it with a Driver no less....not the most 'pinpoint' club to start with anyway.:)

A buddy of mine has been playing for at least 20 years, thousands of holes (about a 10 handicap), has never had a hole in one. I e-mailed him this story yesterday and told him he should be ashamed of himself!:p

Cedar Fil Golf Course, #17, 136yd par 3. 9 iron, not too well hit, bounces in front of the green, trickles to the back, slightly uphill, disappears. I look around the outskirts, no ball. Walk around, no ball. Where is it? Oh, it's in the hole!!!!!!!!!!! One shinning moment!!!! The best 2 things about it was that my pops was with me and he got a plaque made for me. One of the best days ever!

The rake was that later that day, I went to take a shot at a $25,000 hole in one contest at Quail Chase. I was like, how in the hell do I do that twice in one day? I actually had to go 2nd out of about 35 people. 1st guy shanks it OB, now me. There was about 50 people in a somewhat gallery watching. I have NEVER been so nervous in my whole life. "God, please at least let me hit the ball", I say to myself. About a 155yd par 3. I figure I should club up and take a nice slow swing. To my suprise, I hit a dead straight 6 iron right at it. It landed fairly close, ran about 20ft by. Not a bad effort. I actually got a steady golf clap from the gallery! I got 2nd closest to the pin and won a bad assed Budweiser putter.

The plaque has a hole for the ball, and I saved it! Top Flight "Hot XL".
