Hendrix Breakdown

I wish I hadn't seen that. Simply awful.

Scurlogue Champ 04-07-2007 06:39 PM

That was terrible looking, I agree.

zippyneedsawin 04-07-2007 06:40 PM

sundaysilenceforever 04-07-2007 06:51 PM

It was horrible. He has always been one of my very favorites...so handsome and professional. RIP sweet boy. :(

mclem10011 04-07-2007 07:11 PM

I'm sad....

To hear about this, i didn't witness it, sounds very bad though. Best wishes to his connections, RIP

As bad as I've seen without a horse actually going down.

A star is a star, no matter how bright. A trick of the eye or opinion, or a weakness of heart... a feeling. Why we love is irrelevent... it's who we love that matters.

... and who we love and that we love, that makes them shine even brighter.

Philosophers words are taken and claimed and i can't remember who first said it... that failure is not falling down, it's not getting back up again.

Hendrix was a bright star who never failed..... he always tried and his fans could see it every time.

And so we weep and remember, in our despair we think of him... we who are left in pieces wondering if our hearts will ever feel whole again.

An angel in life, and now.....

An angel again.

He is missed.

I know one of the things that i hate so much about such a beautiful game. And it was on the turf as well and this was an older horse. Some things i just dont understand i really dont. Its just so friggin sad and now the specials about Barbaro just seems like a sad time lately.

Hendrix Photos

FlyingFilly.com has a page up with a few nice photos of Hendrix. Permission to use the track images is appreciated.

We were at Keeneland last October for morning workouts. When we were walking to the track kitchen for breakfast we happened to see Hendrix in his stall. He was goofing around pulling hay from the feeder and scattering it around more than eating it, almost like he was playing for the camera.

Like so many others, Hendrix will be missed.
