can't wait to see magnificience run, but it's a four-horse field as of now. I think coco belle could wire this small field.

Looking forward to see if Clement can 'improve' Vacare....This could show us if Block could be an elite trainer with getting better stock. It is amazing what he wins with sometimes. What is even better is that while he disgustes me with the whole Mystery Giver thing (Dell, you think I would actually talk about Block and not talk about this?!!!), 90% of his stock is his family operation, thus he isn't getting an hourly rate from himself. SO he is making money doing what he is doing because of his success, in an age where some trainer just can't cut it anymore becuase of the super trainers.

If I had a horse in Chicago, he'd be at the very top of a short list of people I'd want to send my horse to, regardless of what surface my horse was running on -- though especially if the pedigree screamed turf.

I'm sad that Vacare isn't with him anymore, but that's the business I suppose.

I absolutely love #7 Serena Cat in the 8th at GP. Vacare is a fantastic filly but if she maybe is not 100% tight after the layoff I think Kiaran's filly will win. At any rate a Vacare/Serenas Cat exacta will be nice.

OOofff..

Midnight Thunder... Oy. Day over.

peetsa 04-01-2007 03:04 PM

GP 8th you forgot Pictavia in your picks. Think it's a big mistake.

Scav 04-01-2007 03:31 PM

Vacare

Pretty impressive off the shelf, doesn't look like Clemente screwed her up yet, didn't beat much but looks to move forward....Probably see her at Keeneland then some New York races and then the Beverly D...

he is average IMO, I have seen him run too many nut turf horses off the board because they were real short.....

Unlike American trainers, guys like Clement still run them into shape. "One race is worth five workouts"...
