Best Sire in the world

A bunch of my friends think im crazy but i think Giant's Causeway is the best in the world, his offspring perform on turf or dirt, long or short, i think this guy is a monster sire. They can win first time out, over sloppy tracks anything they just always seem to run good, and with him being such a young sire i think the sky is the limit, i know when i handicap turf races, especially maiden races the first thing i look for is if he has a first timer in the race, because they always seem to run big

The one's I have been around have all been hot, nervous , iron jawed and dumb but Im sure there are nice one's out there. If I were an owner or breeder I would get away from the Storm Cat line, I dont like most of them but thats just me.

AP Indy.
I know it is one of the more obvious choices, but there is a reason for that.

How many US G-1 dirt racers could fly to England and just lose the most prestigious turf race by a nose? That is what GC accomplished in the BCC.

GC got off plane after 7 consecutive G-1 wins in Europe, on the turf of course, and ran his first dirt race in the BCC...losing by the long nose of Tiznow.

Coolmore bred GC his first years in the US to "any mare with four legs" to recoupe his syndication cost. There were not 191 "carefully selected" mares via conformation, pedigree, etc...only owners w/mares who could pay 300k per pop.

this horse was amazing, might be one of the most underated horses ever, but i think in a few years he will be the best sire we have, if he isent already now

giants causeway? underrated? are you high?

Hickory Hill Hoff 03-18-2007 09:25 PM

Danzig was until three years ago when he was penison... RIP-2006
He was probably the greatest sire that never had (a chance to have) a great career on track.

My favorite value sires right now are Orientate, Mr. Greeley, Indian Charlie, and Harlan's Holiday.

I also like Malibu Moon a little bit...

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the following sire stud fees increased next year...Lightnin N Thunder, Posse, Hook and Ladder, and Harlan's Holiday.

Oh yeah, and as far as best sire goes...that would have to go to Sadler's Wells.

For the best American sire, I like AP Indy.

For furture successes as a sire...I really like the Empire Makers. I am also looking very forward to seeing what Bernardini produces.

Until he croaks that title should go to Sadler's Wells
