Help/Phone wagering

Colonial Downs is offering EZHORSEPLAY to Virginia residents. Allows wagering by phone or internet.

Can ya'll give me some pros and cons on wagering by phone? Ease of use? Difficulty with withdraws??

Thanks in advance,

Kev

Kev, I use all three here in Pa. Telebet, Phonebet, and Ibetmohegan.
There all pretty easy to call in to place bets. On big racing days
they might be busy, but you will have to wait a very short time.
Thats when I usually use their internet site to place bets
Sometimes you will get a very slow operator taking your bets. I
just hang up call back to get a person with a pulse on the other
end of the line. Withdrawl can be done at the host track and their
OTB's, and also I have it worked out that I can either get a check
or deposited right into my bank account. Depositing money can be done
by going to the track and OTB and put into your account. Also you can
use debit card, credit card(with crazy fees) and check, but you have
to wait until check clears. Also I get free video of every track they
are taking bets on.

Thanks Mike. If I deposit using a debit card, there is a 3.5% processing fee. Is that high, low, normal? I would be more inclined to just take cash to the OTB and deposit from there.

Always withdraw early, even though it's often difficult, at least that's how I remember it.

They use to have a processing fee about 3-4% on debit, but now
I don't have a fee, I forgot also you can do money order witch will
be deposited automatically when they get it.

They are also offering to match my initial deposit, up to $100. Of course I can't withdraw until I have made $200 worth of wagers.

I'd like to hear some negative stories, just so I can have an idea of what to expect.

Terry, the "interest" is normally way to high to want that early withdraw.:D

Be sure to say Saratoga TB's and Woodbine TB's when those tracks
run the same day as the harness does. The operator once gave me
Woodbine harness instead of WB TB's it cost me about $4,800 would
have hit the DD, Pik3 and Tri. Be sure to speak clearly, sometimes you
have people who second language must be english so it might take
longer

I hope to be doing most of the wagers by internet...but having the phone as another option makes it more attractive...cause there is just not always enough time to make it to the OTB during lunch:o

Anyone else, other than Mike, with some good/bad experiences with phone wagering?
