Holy cow they are showing all three races! That is almost as many races as TVG carries on an average day now.

POINTGIVEN1985 03-16-2007 05:48 PM

i also herd, that they might also replay the tampa bay derby

hockey2315 03-16-2007 05:49 PM

Thanks, PG. . . I was hoping they'd actually have some live races for once but this is better than nothing. . . Atleast I can tivo them and then go back and study them for future handicapping. ..

POINTGIVEN1985 03-16-2007 06:04 PM

i think the san felipe will be live, but im not sure

SOREHOOF 03-17-2007 08:03 AM

It will be live if something more important, such as a Cuban league baseball game , womens college hockey, 2003 Hold'em replay, dog show, or anything else ESPN wants to shove down our throats is running over. Thier coverage of Horseracing couldn't be much worse. You would think with the Breeders Cup in thier pocket they would promote The Sport of Kings at least half as shamelessly as they promote Dancing with the Stars or any other crap on ABC as they did during Football broadcasts. I can't get TVG or HRTV but they have to be a BIG step up from how ESPN treats Horseracing. This is not a Knock on the commentaters.BTW Commentator worked out in FLA the other day.

how was the work? he's one of my all time favorites

SOREHOOF 03-17-2007 08:31 AM

3-16-07 Palm Meadows track fast 3f 38.80 Breezing. I was at the Whitney when he beat Saint Liam, had him to win. Had him and Pomeroy in the Ex at the Forego, should have backed it up with a win I guess. Live and learn.

Bigsmc 03-17-2007 08:37 AM

3/17/2007 Tampa Bay Derby (tape) III Tampa Bay Downs 7:00 PM
3/17/2007 Rebel Stakes III Oaklawn Park 7:04 PM
3/17/2007 San Felipe Stakes II Santa Anita 7:30 PM

SOREHOOF 03-17-2007 09:15 AM

3-1, Pink is not a racehorse color. I can't believe they changed jockeys after getting beat that day. They should have changed silks. I'm not knocking HOY RIP.

It's always been this way with ESPN, we're lucky that the NCAA hoops are on CBS or thoroughbred racing
would be nowhere to be found on ESPN for the rest of the month.

SOREHOOF 03-17-2007 09:48 AM

5 channels showing Poker. Some of it is years old. I like poker, but watching other people play is pretty boring. I'd just about kill for TVG or HGTV, but I won't get a dish.

SOREHOOF 03-17-2007 09:52 AM

What's next for ESPN? Championship Celebrity Toenail clipping? It would probably pre-emt the Breeders Cup.
