The unbeatable horse

I went up to a teller and tried to cash my win ticket on Nobiz like Showbiz, but this crazy teller said she couldn’t cash it for me because the horse didn’t win. I tried to explain to her that this kid had told me that the horse was unbeatable and therefore what she was telling me could not possibly be true.
She still wouldn’t give me the money.
What do you think Pointgiven1985, should I press charges?

ArlJim78 03-03-2007 04:33 PM

I am dumbfounded. ZERO CHANCE for the field as I recall.

I would contact the jockey's guild and tell them that you want your share.

He blows more smoke than a chimney...He reminds me of Mush from Bronx Tale...If only his " last post" was just that

Did it seem to you that NObiz tried to duck in again in the stretch, like he did when he did in the previous race? And that he started to run again after he was straightened?

Yup, he's sort of a big goofy kid. I still think he is a nice horse though. Stormello is one gritty little horse.

randallscott35 03-03-2007 05:03 PM

The unbeatable horse could've been off the board easily.

IrishofNDMan 03-03-2007 05:05 PM

I thought it was pretty comical when Nobiz was labeled unbeatable, and when people said "Did you see what Tagg said about Nobiz, comparing him to Barbaro". WOW, a trainer compared his horse to a champion, so it must mean he is a champion, so there is no way he can lose.

LOL

POINTGIVEN1985 03-03-2007 05:06 PM

i was wrong i said he had zero chance to win today and that nobiz was unbeatable and i was so wrong. i thought stormello ran the winning race and he should have won, nobiz did not show up today and i should never again say a horse is unbeatable or a horse has no chance to win, i learned alot from today. along with my bad predictions i also lost alot of money. so from now on i will think before i talk

He was lugging in badly in the stretch (what else is new?) and didn't exactly get the best ride (but that's Cornelio for you)

DrugS posed the rhetorical question: whether I actually had doubts that this horse could get more than a mile, after I questioned his loss to Scat Daddy in the Belmont stake, where he had a bit of trouble, but certainly not enough for a good horse to overcome.

Whatever the case, he's certainly supposed to beat this bunch.

Clearly, this is a horse that runs big ONLY went it gets its own way.

As for the top 2: if you look at the chart of the Juvenile Colt, they ran the best after the winner.

I give that one a 250-1 chance of lasting 24 hours.

hoovesupsideyourhead 03-03-2007 06:14 PM

they crawled home..sno bix is still the best of that bunch and the race for him was compromised when he had trouble in the first turn..he wont be beat by these horses ever again..........

don't feel bad son. calling nobiz unbeatable wasn't nearly as stupid as when you said that favorite trick was "hands down" the best 2yo EVER!!
if you keep progressing at this rate you will reach the level of adequate horse racing analyst by about................2085.

randallscott35 03-03-2007 08:27 PM

POINTGIVEN- Are you coming up to Toga for the first week? We need you there.

He's no Funny Cide

bongster420 03-03-2007 09:32 PM

I picked the wrong pony to try to beat NBLS (Drums of Tunder) but one thing I know for sure...NBLS is a ONE PACED, slow horse....he has only one gear and horses like that NEVER can get it done when the going gets tough. Tagg lost his mind thinking this horse is a super horse!!!

The Bid 03-03-2007 09:39 PM

I think there is a little more wrong with No Biz than just being green. Hes just lugs in too much, and tried to get out a little on the turn.
