Funny Boy Debut Monday..

The NY-bred colt my late friend Malcolm and I owned together debuts tomorrow at Gulfstream.. 6th race.. He's the #5.. This is not a push by any means, as I have no idea what to expect. But Malcolm, who several here had met, passed away a month ago.. It would surebe nice if after spending 18 months trying to get him to the track, he ran OK...

Remember you talking about him a long time ago. Glad he came back from the injury. Good luck tomorrow.

Good luck SB, maybe Elvis riding is a sign that the real Elvis and Malcolm are straight up chilling and gets FB into the winner circle

Much good racing luck for him tomorrow, and may be come back well, eating up his tub.

Good luck Steve, hopefully your friend will be looking down on the race to see his horse wins.

Thank you everybody..

Thanks all..

Malcolm had an eye for an inexpensive horse. He owned the very good Audio Cassette at one time... His "In Memoriam" (Junior) is still running at Tampa-Suffolk at 9, bought out of a catalog for $3,500. An Ohio-bred, Junior was stolen from Malcolm four years ago by a lowlife 'trainer' in the Saratoga area. That prompted the buy of Funny Boy.

Training with Gary Sciacca, he was ready in December of '05 at 2 to run but kicked a stall wall and bruised an ankle. A month later, was ready again but yanked a shoe half off in the stall overnight and bruised his hoof bad enough to be sidelined another month. Then when back on track, last March, he injured a tendon. Eights months off... Another three months getting back into shape... David Fawkes has had him here in Florida.

Hope for the best today.. Was surprised to see a 12-1 ML.. (Malcolm may have gotten in an advance wager!)

Note that Lansdon Robbins' Drilling for Oil goes in the 7th, so that would be a great DD...

Steve, Good luck today. Didn't I hear you mention something about having a horse run at Tampa a couple weeks back on ATRAB?
