Hate
 

I'll just say that for a long, long time, I've had a bit of difficulty with positions by some people that seek to spread their hate.
Honestly, it confuses me. I hate no one.
So, I went on a quest to find why some people hate me, want to kill me.
Yes, we all live in very dangerous times. There's no question about that fact.
Religion drives people to extremes that I probably will never understand, however, that does not deny my desire to find the motives that would drive some other humans to kill themselves in their desire to kill me.
Heck, what did I do to them?
A search of Islamic sites brought me to one that offered a Qur'an. It was free for the request, compliments of the Council of American-Islamic Relations,

No, I'm not a Muslim. I have other beliefs.
Yet these people reached out to me and sent me a beautiful book that demonstrates their beliefs. I have only read the first fifty pages.
I will continue to read it so that I may understand.
In doing so, I wish to find resolution for the motives that drive some to hate.
At this point, I don't think all Islamic people hate "western" people.
I think that they wish for others to undertand and respect their beliefs.
Again, I don't hate Islamic people. They sent me a copy of their Holy Book
so that I could understand.
At some point in time, all humans must make an attempt to do likewise.
Only in that will the killing stop.
Only in that will the hate and other motives cease to gain meaning.
Only by respecting the religious views of others will peace prevail.
Peace I pray, and understanding and tolerance.

I'm not Islamic, but it seems to me that they are reaching out to be understood.
That's a good move in the right direction to end the "hate".

This stuff that is going on in the world isn't about religious beliefs, it's about radicals, power, and $$$. Moslems are some of the most gentle and kind people you will ever be around. So don't be confused by the fact that a few radicals around the world that share the same religion speak for the entire Islamic faith.

We all die anyway...just a question of how long it takes us to get there!!

Not that it has anything to do with this thread. Hate has occurred forever throughout earth's history. always has and unfortunately always will. NOt much any of us can do about it in my opinion. All I can do is try to take as long as I can to get to the dying part.

Again, to others that have weighed in, I have nothing against Mormons.
I've read their book too.
And, yes...I follow racing. Flying Zee had two places today...R 1+2 at AQ.
