This card, minus the big races, has been wrecked by scratches.

I don't know why, but I can't find this on my TVG menu. It shows the Saturday turf race instead of the BES....

It's Special/Dixie/Preakness. Listed at most outlets as Preakness Pick 3.

It seems, by reading social media, that people get much more excited over a closer than they do a speed horse.

Well considering every winner prior to that race attended the pace and Revolutionary was so far back I was thinking something was amiss and we would be hearing that he was being pulled up. That was some effort but what was Mike Smith thinking considering what went on in all the prior races.

Maybe he was thinking "I've got the best horse and they're going very fast up front and they'll come back to me".........which is exactly what happened.

Thats all well and good on a track that where the winners WERE NOT coming from the first group race after race. Ballsy strategy by Smith for sure.

Timeform labeled the track yesterday as being fair. Most races had slow to fair paces.

outofthebox 05-17-2014 10:30 AM

I like what i saw in the first two races. Favorite coming wide off the pace in the first. Favorite wiring the field on the inside in the second..There should be no excuses for anyone today...
