Reality set in for all the West Coast horses today.

* Bob Baffert's HoorayforHollywood was made the 8/5 favorite in the Schaffer Mile. He finished 3rd. Hurricane Ike (who was 6th at Presque Isle last out) won clear at 8/1 odds.

* Bob Baffert's Ellafitz was hammered down to the 6/5 favorite in the $100,000 stake for older females. She finished dead last at 6/5 odds. 5/2 second choice Salty Strike (9th at Presque Isle last out) won and the 3/1 second choice Brushed By A Star was 2nd.

* Bob Baffert's Eden Moon was 3rd beaten 7 lengths at 2/1 odds in the Indiana Oaks. Grace Hall rebounded from her bad loss to Questing and won. Wine Princess was a clear 2nd.

* Bob Baffert's Fed Biz managed only 3rd at odds of 6/5 in the Indiana Derby. The clear-cut 2nd and 3rd choices in the betting (Neck N' Neck and Bourbon Courage) made up a $40 exacta.

The four California shippers were all soundly beaten at odds of 6/5, 6/5, 8/5, and 2/1 -- and the other Non-Southern Cal short priced horses pretty much dominated.

All four of those are extremely overrated. Especially Eden's Moon.

Though Fed Biz sure did used to get a lot of love from people on DT.

Toasted, all of them..Never been a fan of Eden Moon. Fed Biz had a tough comeback race at Del Mar and i was a bit concerned that he would regress a bit while shipping. Haven't loss faith in him just yet...
