Race 5, Friday.... The Damascus stakes is a serious race.

Midnight Hawk and Chitu both return in here. 6 stakes winners total in the race. Nice group.....

Best race on the card. Declassify should run much better on dirt as well.

If the Bafferts I mentioned move forward off the layoffs they should beat the Baffert you mentioned. Either way the GOAT has the horses to beat.

What's the word on Bronzo? Does he look like anything?

If Goldencents breaks well, the rest might just be running for second......

If Garcia takes back the race is over. If he goes after him anything could happen. I think Tapiture has a shot turning back. I have never liked him, but I think this is a perfect spot for him and he draws well.

Shouldn't Ria Antonia be in a non winners of 2 and hope to get lucky to be put up on a horrible DQ?

Danzig 10-29-2014 09:29 AM

handsome mike scratched, filling in his leg. they said four vets said scratch him.
four?

I know she has become the "fun" horse to pick on, but her last race was decent.

IMO...........I watched a bunch of his replays from Chile, Peru last evening and even though the quality of the video was sketchy a bit, it appears as though he has some natural speed and based on his works at SA he could be in the hunt for a while. Really hard to compare what he beat there. I still find him interesting nonetheless and think his breeding is certainly above average for an import from there. Fu Peg and a Memo mare is ok for sure. He seems to be trackable and will just accelerate down the lane. He's been in So Cal for a while now so the 'team' seems to want to give him the best chance. I wouldn't be against using him underneath.

other than the top 2 I like pants on fire a bit.

Dirt Mile is usually one of my favorite betting races. This year...not so much. Probably gonna work through Tapiture though.

Thanks GD. I just keep looking at him and thinking "what IS this horse?" and those are the ones that usually kill the exotics.

I guess he is the 3rd or 4th most likely winner. I like the 2 Baffert returnees.

Aktabantay has now scratched due to a sore foot.
