Belmont Stakes

Who's in?
Personally, I'm in tense negotiations with the Mrs. MaTH as we speak. I'm going to try to use whatever chips I have left to make it out to Elmont and hopefully see history.

This has to be a one sided affair.

You've got three weeks to wear her down and win this mismatch by attrition.

We all like underdogs, I'm rooting for you.

Yeah, I burned up most of my chips for Tampa. We'll see, I have a good feeling.

Going to look at rooms and flights later today. I'm 50/50, flights will be plentifull and inexpensive, it's the summer NYC hotel rates that are painful.

santana 05-21-2012 10:20 AM

Check Queens or LI hotels rates...not Manhatten.

Debating on whether to go myself.

not gonna lie, after seeing what the big M provides for $29.95, i think we were spoiled at the Taj Mahal.

good news though herk, they have an assortment of salads

herkhorse 05-22-2012 06:21 AM

That's the worst buffet menu I've ever seen, at least they have dessert.

Sightseek 05-22-2012 06:46 AM

It has been 5 or 6 years since I've been there, but the food in the Pegasus Restaurant wasn't bad for a track restaurant.

Will the Heels Express be picking up additional passengers at Philly airport on Friday?

I have been to the Pegasus countless times and I don't think I have ever seen a shrimp let alone crab legs and lobsters.

Derby Lane wins in a runaway, even with no dessert (sorry Herk).

For the record, the Big M does have a pretty decent dessert set-up...............

We can maybe work this out. Let me know the time. I am sure the other passsenger will not mind, since he will probably be a few beers into his 'cappin by the time we get to Philly.

I think I would be able to swing that, but unfortunately Little Matt has a baseball game that night.

If you bring me the number of a good divorce lawyer, we might have a deal.

I don't know the answer to that, but if you happen to see a bunch of drunken deranged degenerates yelling at TV screens every couple of minutes for a horse to get up for 3rd place, run the opposite direction...quickly.

Now that's kinda catchy. If I had a band, that would be a cool name

Yeah, but he is still guilty as charged just based on association.

I might need a ruling here. But anyone who prints out the form and then gets it bound at Staples like a book, probably qualifies for the degenerate category regardless of age...........................
