Entries have been drawn for the 11 race card, which begins at 6:00 PM Eastern time on Saturday. The races have full fields except for the Fleur de Lis, which only drew a field of 6. The featured Stephen Foster appears to be very competitive.

Churchill has taken great steps to make this evening a success, including offering purses of $95,000 for the first two maiden races and even more surprising, having a purse of $101,000 for race 3, an optional claimer, greater than the President of the United Arab Emirates Cup, a $100,000 stakes race that appears later in the card.

If you are planning to watch the entire card of racing, you might need to brew a full pot of coffee, since the final race doesn't begin until 11:16 PM.

Love the evening racing, but then it's only 10:16 here. :D

If you are up late and watching, you might be interested in race 10, a Grade 1 race for Arabians. While the times are much slower than for thoroughbreds, the Arabians are beautiful to watch, with their long tails flowing as they run.

Question Re R10

Should we include R10 = Arabians in our entries and our ROI
.... or exclude the race? :zz:

JolyB 06-13-2019 06:39 PM

Didn't realize it would be an issue. We handicap horse races and these Arabians are race horses. Why not? Besides, you just told us that Arabians were your favorite breed.

If you look at the threads that Don set up, he already stated that R10 is part of our contest.

Had i seen DON’s post I wouldn’t have asked

Just never saw that the Points Thread Was Up :zz:

Somehow I thought in the past
We did NOT include Quarter Horse Or Arabian Races
Maybe Confusing With Other Contests?

I do recall that we omitted the quarter horse races on a couple of all state bred stakes days in Louisiana.

Complete change of subject. I noticed that a runner in the Arabian race was bred in Mississippi. I don't recall ever seeing a Missbred (if that's what they are called) horse before.
