Arrogate rolls. Hope they gun him to the lead. Like The Travers. I actually want him to draw inside the other speeds.

That was his best race by far. I was stunned that chrome got the lead on him next out.

It was his best, but by far? He ran Chrome down on the square in the BC.
My thing is he hasnt been himself the last 2, and this is probably it for him. Why not go and make them beat you.

Yes, by far. That performance in the Travers was incredible.

Considering what Gun Runner did before and since Dubai, I would say his Travers,BC, World Cup triple is as big a 3 races I can remember one horse running. Sprinkle the Gulfstream race in and it's not really shocking he's lost form a bit.

I don't know what's happened to him, but I doubt it's as easy as saying he's regressed somewhat.

Its hard to figure it all out. The 113 beyer last time really stumps me.

Off the top of my head, I'd guess he doesn't care for the surface. Of course, he did win over it last year. Of course, that was over far weaker.

Yep, stumped is an apt way to describe it.

i thought they replaced the entire surface for this season so he had never really ran over it before?

Oh. I wasn't aware of that. That makes the track surface as a culprit much more likely.

Sure like this one.
She's 8 for 13 lifetime and on the improve.
Highway Star is very fond of the sandy Belmont oval........that translates well to the also sandy DMR main.
Of course..........10-1 or so helps.

She's running in the Flower Bowl, the next logical spot after the Beverly D. Her fifth start in less than six months. She hardly sits idly in the barn.

You're really ramping up the cynicism these days, Greg. At least selectively that is.

I am not sure you are aware but the horses are skipping racing all over this country, open your eyes.

from baffert, to assumussen, to brown.......from sea to shining sea.

Her trip at Arlington is a horror show for anyone who bet her. Looked like a winner every step, never given a chance to run.

My eyes are wide open, Greg, which you well know. However, taking shots at everything, as you have been doing for the better part of this year, makes you the boy who cried wolf, and thus invalidates your thoughts.

Grand Jete is hardly the poster child for horses that are under-raced. In fact, the two I can think of that fit that bill the most this year, aren't even trained by household names. Those would be Forever Unbridled and Stellar Wind.

Who is Steve Asmussen leaving in the barn....Gun Runner? You must be kidding me.

Blanket accusations tend to get you in trouble.

Last horse to win Foster, Whitney and Woodward?
Mineshaft won 2 of the 3 I believe and the JCGC.

I bet her pretty good, more than pretty good. I thought she was a cinch.

they are called generalizations and I did not know where and when Grand Jete is running, thats why I asked.

I have no idea why you are taking the opposite side...maybe your right and its my perception that horses are skipping preps, lets visit again when we see the fields for these Grade 1 races coming up. Maybe you are right.

Feels like the wise guy horse of the year especially after she jogs in her prep at Belmont.

really no value now on her, everyone in the world saw that trip. if you really think she is that good then I guess the BC is a place to find some.

You didn't "ask" Greg.

I think keeping good horses out of important races is a problem in the game. However, making generalizations weakens anyone's argument.

Thanks Andy! Keep up the great work for NYRA! Your Twitter acct is one of the better follows out there as well, esp when losers take constant potshots at you. The guy last week with zero followers took the cake!

Vale Dori out of BC

Backstretch sleuth Ed Golden of Santa Anita reports that Vale Dori will not be running in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. “She just wasn’t showing me a lot and has tailed off in her works,” trainer Bob Baffert said. “We’re going to freshen her up, give her 60 days off and have her ready for the Spring meet.

I read this AM that Castellano has been booked on West Coast, which would be a clear indication that Arrogate will run and that Smith is staying with him.

Holybull1 10-10-2017 12:33 PM

BRIS now has early PPs available.

Seattleallstar 10-18-2017 04:17 PM

I am very interested in how the Euros sort themesleves in coming over after this weekends Champions Day

cakes44 10-18-2017 10:20 PM

Over/under on BC races won by Euros at 3.5. What you got?

senator L 10-18-2017 11:29 PM

I'd take the under:)

Ulysses wants nothing to do with the soft ground this Weekend.
Now official for the BC Turf.
The race just got a little more interesting.

Seattleallstar 10-20-2017 01:43 PM

yeah at least it gives me another single on my PK6!..haha

I mean if he runs to anything on form he wins the Turf

Kitan 10-21-2017 09:31 AM

The Euro 3yo fillies in the FM Turf will be extremely dangerous. Hydrangea put in a fantastic winning performance and Persuasive, who has been beaten by that one as well as twice by Roly Poly in all three of her starts this year, just ran down Ribchester in the QEII.

did it pretty easy to, Persuasive that is

Kitan 10-21-2017 10:25 AM

Older boys will take some beating in the Turf as well.
