Hi Steve,

Any news on Pal? Last I heard, I think he had a minor injury that he was nursing - how's that coming along? Also, has he been gelded? And if not, do you still plan to? Finally, any idea when we might see him back on the track?

Another 30 days being hand walked before he starts back. If all goes well he should be ready for spring. Hasn't been gelded.

Is gelding still in the picture or has that been scrapped?

No.. Will be done after he's ready to be turned out... Likely another 30 days.

Ships from VA Tuesday. Woody says he's 100% recovered from the surgery and hitting the ground great..

Steve - Has the birthday boy been gelded yet? Any idea when he'll resume training?

Is back under tack and training at Belmont. Doing very well. Not gelded and may not be. His behavior has improved with maturity.

Happened to be watching HRTV to kill some time and they were rerunning the 2001 BC Mile. I noticed City Zip in the post parade and I thought this will be fun. He led em for about 5 furlongs then succumbed. I felt like I was watching Pal. Can't wait to see his next effort.

Gary watching how he came out of drill and may enter 1m-T, NYB MSW tomorrow for Saturday...

Wow! Didn't realize he ran an 80 BRIS speed fig in his last race before the layoff. If he can run back to that vs. these, he's got a good shot to hit the board.

I told my 5th grade class all about Pal and his upcoming race ("If there are 8 furlongs in a mile, and Pal runs 1 1/16ths of a mile, how many furlongs has he run?"). I think I have 18 new converts to horse racing! Attached are a few of the good luck notes the kids gave me on the way out the door today. Too cute!
