Angels ~ In Memoriam, 2011

When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

~ William Shakespeare

We will never forget you...

I know... I don't understand why they didn't release her name unless maybe the owners didn't know yet?

Sad all the way around.

His name was Natureofthebeast and he was a 6 year old gelding.

His first start had been last October at Ludlow... went to the front and never looked back. He beat a big field.

His 2nd start was later in the month and he came from last to win once again.

In his 3rd start (back in November) he finished 4th and yesterday was entered at Wincanton.

I would think we all deserve more than 7 words to sum it up but this is what they saw fit to write...

Disputing lead when fell 5th, fatally injured

I'm sorry for his connections.

Rest in peace.

:(

Mr Palmer said 80 horses had drowned at the facility due to the flooding, of which 17 were racehorses including Cam's Card Shark, Genuwine, Eden Burst, and Fancy Card Shark.

Fifteen yearlings trapped in one barn also died.

How horrific that must have been :(

"For 13 hours the staff sat stranded on the roof, watching as drowning horses thrashed in the waters below them."
