i noticed a oddity today
 
well,at least for me in delaware 9th today the 1 horse,,color in motion was ridden by kristen swan,,,trained by kristen swan,,and owned by kristen swan could i have read that wrong? is this all the same person? thank you

The reason you don't normally see it is because it's not legal in thoroughbred racing. That was an Arabian race.

Jackie Falk has owned, trained and ridden her horses for years. As recently as last season at Finger Lakes, but at Suffolk and even Saratoga over the last 15+ years.

its not illegel to do what i saw yesterday i saw 3 weeks ago also at fonner or fort erie and i remember that fauk jock steve was talking about

i found something when i asked on google and up until 2007 it was not allowed for jocks to own a horse,,,maybe it changed since 2007? its interesting whichever

It is possible that the rule could be different in some states. But in most states, a jockey can't own an active racehorse. That's why over the years you've never seen any famous active jockeys owning horses. I think the rule is different when it comes to Arabians, jumpers, etc.

The 2nd line of the Equibase chart says Arabian.

You can usually tell too when all the horse's names are IN ALL CAPS that they aren't thoroughbreds.

Tim Wooley is another trainer who owns a few and works them, but doesn't ride at the track. I had a few with him and he was always the exercise rider.
