5/17-18 (BEL): New gelding Kid Friday; Belle at 8.5f Saturday
 

Very frustrating setback for Kid.. Luis Reyes returned to Gary Friday saying in addition to not caring for the softish turf, Kid Chocolate had made a great deal of noise breathing. (Usually known as 'roaring'). When scoped post race it was shown he was suffering from RLN (paralyzed larynx) that inhibits breathing, which typically develops in bigger/taller horses as they grow. He'll undergo a "tie back surgery" and we'll get him back later in the summer.
