Very interesting article. I read Wild Ride years ago and the conspiracy theories made less and less sense as more information came out over the years. Lundy never got a dime from that insurance and the death of Alydar left him in an even more impossible position. Eventually he would have gone to jail and eventually he would have gone bankrupt. The death of Alydar just brought everything into the spotlight right away and put those inevitable outcomes on the fast track.

Not that J.T. Lundy was virtuous, but if he did have any involvement in the death of Alydar, as one judge suggested, it was a classic blunder.
