Sorry if this is a dumb question, but can someone tell me what the figure listed between the age/sex of the horse and the weight is? Thanks!

Absolutely no idea. Probably meaningless

It has something to do with the preference date system. It is almost indecipherable, though. Racing Office probably has a bunch of special contingencies.

For most of those, the number is the day of the meet that the horse last ran (if it ran at OP).

Thanks for your reply! It's unfortunate for Oaklawn (and bettors) that they weren't able to draw larger fields for some of these races given the big purses they are offering. They attracted some quality horses for sure, but the small fields will negatively impact the money in the exotic pools.

Maybe they don't want to compete in the Magic Elixr arms race in the Ar Derby.

The AR Derby is a little disappointing with the number of horses entered. i was expecting about 9 - 10 horses with some horses that has disappointed in previous Derby preps trying to get more points for KY Derby.

The Oaklawn Mile came up pretty strong.

Will we be so lucky as to get even money on Concert Tour? That horse is going off at 2/5 right?

This is also good news for people playing Last Samurai. You likely won't have to settle on 15/1! :D

He's actually the opposite. He was very lucky to get second last time

I haven’t looked closely at the race because I think Concert Tour is a cinch to win it...but my initial thought was that he would stalk Caddo River this time around and it’ll be an easy Concert Tour-Caddo River exacta and no one else really in contention.
