The Classic

How many of these horses can actually pop the 108-110 BSF needed to win this race? I’m sure all the horses are “coming into a big race”, and “can’t be doing any better”, and are “training great”, but I think we make things harder than they are sometimes.

When in doubt..... use Bob.

Konk 11-01-2018 09:16 AM

West Coast has run a 117-as a 3yo!- and is now second off a layoff.
He doesn't even have to pair his top to beat this field. A normal second out improvement could bury them all.

knickslions2 11-01-2018 10:04 AM

In My opinion based on who I feel will be improving the most and has best chance to win here

A Horses - Catholic Boy and McKinzie
B Horses - Accelerate and Axelrod
C Horses - Mind Your Biscuits (real wild card here) and Discreet Lover

I think West Coasts best days are behind him. Although you never know

I agree...probably not that simple, but I'm going to build around him running 1-2.

To be fair you've always loved CB. I think he's a cut below.

Absolutely have liked him from last year. However he gets better every start and that Travers run was very good. Distance is no issue, the horse is tough, training well and is a major player here. This is a tricky race this year compared to the last few. Accelerate may be still be the cream of the crop here and Ill have him covered in pick 4 but my win money will most likely be on the Boy.

I’m interested to see where the money falls because there is a lot to like about a number of these horses. I love CB, very intrigued by McKinzie, have to respect Accelerate. A week or so ago I said I wouldn’t consider McKinzie or Biscuits. I think I’ve come around on McKinzie, though I’ve soured on West Coast and still not crazy about MYB in this spot.

All that said, the horse that interests me most is still Yoshida. Hoping to get a decent price on him.

That opinion that he’s a cut below has been wrong three times in a row. What does he have to do to convert you to Catholicism? No reason to think anything changes in the Classic. He has the will to win. He will win the classic. West coast second, yoshida third.

Thats all fair. I dont like Accelerate at all. Hate his last and at least you can make an excuse for West Coast.

Mendelssohn.
Perhaps nobody goes with him early, thinking he'll stop......and he doesn't.
Fast track only.

One of the more puzzling editions

King Glorious 11-02-2018 07:32 PM

It’s a simple race. If he handles dirt, Roaring Lion wins easily. If he doesn’t handle dirt, don’t waste you money playing any horse unde 8/1. The winner will be Roaring Lion or over 30/1.

After watching The clip of him on YouTube it looked to me that he wanted no part of dirt. It was autotossola mama Mia.

Good call on that juvy race today. I hope we didnt talk you off that bomb that ran 2nd. Great call

lemoncrush 11-02-2018 10:51 PM

Why can’t I get excited about Mckinzie?
He hasn’t beaten anyone of merit (never faced the top 3-year old olds) and now faces older for the first time in a huge field?
He’s not for me.
I’m using west coast and mind your biscuits. If it’s not one of those two, it could be anyone.

Thanks Joey. Had a few coins across the board on him so second place was perfect. I did fine with the horse that won in exotics so was fun day. Good luck today. Looks to be much tougher chalkenge

Be careful here. I think he's probably the horse to beat almost by default. Who am i supposed to want? I hate Accelerate almost as much as i did Bellafina. I respect Biscuits but this is asking a lot.
