Always Dreaming looked good....open up in the stretch....geared down and still running....definite maybe:)

and girvin wasn't bad either. Looks wide open this year.

Girvin seemed painfully slow to me. Thought the 91 was generous.

There's no 'generosity'. There's the time of the race and a variant for the surface. There were 3 races run between 8.5f-9f from 3:45-5:25pm: 1:48.1 (9f New Orleans) for older males; 1:43.3 (8.5f Oaks) for 3yo fillies; 1:49.3 (9f Derby) for 3yo males. The figures may not be simple to understand, but they were easy to establish.

C'mon man he broke his maiden at Tampa for 20K. If he was for real he would have stayed at GP.

Eerily reminds me of International Star's 2015 campaign, though IS was markedly better. He's just not in the same class.

Wow. I just looked at some of the other times from yesterday. That was a seriously slow track for Santa Anita. A 5f race in 59.8?

He also just won the Florida Derby in 1:47.47, eased at the end and running strong past the wire.

also everyone's new favorite horse Arrogate holds the track record at 1-1/8 in 1:46.83. he was only.64 behind him....and coasting.

your welcome.

He is no Zenyatta though.

Another 17 in a row is all he needs.

Thx. Saw he's now trained by Michael Matz. His owner didn't want him based at Woodbine. Tough break for Rachel Halden.

True. One could also use that reasoning and say that Secetariats Belmont wasn't that great because he didn't pass any horses.
