The First Lady came up as tough as any Breeders Cup race. Simply an amazing field.

Then you look at the field that ran at Santa Anita for a Grade One last weekend and really have to wonder.

Just nice to see lots of horses in big races.

Also nice to see that Stidham is running Micheline on the dirt in the Alcibiades on Friday. If someone out here can come up the winner of the 8th, we can hit a cold double.

While winning a G1 is huge, Paul who wants to ship to an unfriendly Race Place with a dubious dirt surface and where there are protestors, and governing officials working to abolish racing. Instead, you can race in NY and Ky and deal with none of the headaches.

I hear you. But, since the Breeders Cup is there next month, I would think many would find an easier grade one race over the surface they will next race over appealing.
