114 and nobody wants to talk about it? Interesting. Looking forward to Flightline’s return in the 8th today at Del Mar.

What is there to say? He ran a huge race. A few more races like that and he might end up in your signature.

I think Life is Good has it locked up for this year.

I may have spoken too soon. Flightline is looking like a monster. Just ran 1:08:05 and never got out of a gallop.

If this horse continues on there's going to be a lot more claiming of first time starters with sparse workout patterns in the maiden claiming $10K ranks.

Apparently that's the winning profile if you are looking for an errant Kentucky Derby winner or triple digit Beyer runner...

What did you think of his race yesterday and Flightline's race today?

Mildly interested in Olympiad out of either race, but I wouldn't be shocked if he fails to stay in one piece.

He's beaten Caddo River so he's already well on his way to being a stallion prospect.

Flightline has only beaten starter allowance types in his two paid workouts although Coolmore did pay $1 million for Notre Dame so they can reference that in his stallion advert if he doesn't make another start...

To some extent, Flightline is going to be up against it in his next start. He'll likely have to run in a stakes (because second condition allowance races rarely fill in CA, especially if a horse like him targets the race), he'll likely have to face older horses (because there's no 3yo stakes on dirt left in CA until maybe the BC undercard), he'll likely have to face quality speed for the first time, and he won't be running on Lasix. Maybe they can throw two turns and switch surfaces on him, too, if they really want an acid test.

Of course, we're talking about CA racing, so he might find a nice Paid Public Workout and You're In race ahead of the BC...

They did that two back and she got beat by a Pletcher 3rd stringer.

King Glorious 09-08-2021 06:26 PM

Worth mentioning that Corniche got a 98 Beyer winning his debut the other day.
