Derby Trail Forums - ROI Results 12/3 @ Aqueduct

Week 3 at Aqueduct played a little better than the week before. Three tickets were cashed and
the win and place slots were filled. The plays that were made on Saturday mirrored a horse race.
A few players broke slowly or were checked while attempting to make a move by horses that just
didn't "figure". But most horses don't know thier odds. I was pretty much scoring the races live
on Saturday and in my mind at the time it looked like a two horse race between Digger and
NJ Stinks. Digger found his stride in race 8 and had the wire in sight but NJS was poised for
a hugh finish with What a Dude in the finale. A win would have given him a Pick 3 and a nice
win bet. Unfortunately What a Dude ran out of gas and I figured Digger would wind up in the
winners circle. Cruzan and Royal Tryst had other ideas though. From dead last Royal Tryst
commenced a rally through the sloppy Aqueduct stretch. From not being in the picture RT
flew by horses in the shadow of the wire and his improbable rally turned into a half length win
and Cruzan got his picture taken in the winners circle. Cruzan didn't really need it but he also
nailed a winner in race 5. Milton the Monster opened at 6-1 and was bet down to 3-2 which
stopped Cruzan from having a Monster day. Congrats on a nicely played win Cruzan. Those
were two nice picks on the day even though one was jumped on and lowered your win price.
