i wonder if a petition to bar any more 'kitten' names would work with the jockey club......

I need some help in the Eight Belles and American Turf.

Thinking hard about riding Midnight Lucky alone in the Oaks.

In the American Turf Im using 4,5,13. I believe War Dancer is something special. Ill press him.

odbaxter 04-30-2013 11:34 PM

Do these six stakes make up the pick six?

Yes.

Richard's Kid at 1 1/16? Sounds like a lock for 5th or 6th.

In the Eight Belles, I'm very much leaning on Blueeyesintherein, no way this filly will be 8-1 (IMO). Nice opening race in 2013, and appears to handle Churchill no problem. If wet, should be able to handle that also. Gold Medal Dancer has had 2 nice races and not sure what the upside might be for her. Couple of nice works at Churchill also and can run some if there is moisture in the track.

In the American Turf, it's hard for me also to get past Noble Tune and War Dancer as they both appear to be coming up nicely to this race. But, very interested in Bashaar also after the romp in the slop. Breeding suggests that he should handle the grass and I think Danny Peitz wants to see what he has for options in the summer (grass or synthetic).

Midnight Lucky would be a scary single for me in the Oaks but will probably have to use with Unlimited Budget and Dreaming of Julia.

Love Gold Medal Dancer's chance in 8 belles

David Grening ‏@DRFGrening 21s Flashy Gray will scratch from Friday's Kentucky Oaks due to a bruised right front foot, trainer Bill Mott said.

I'm going to have to watch a replay of that last race, but War Dancer, Positively, and Tenforthemoney finished within a half length of each other; all closed into what appeared to be a falling apart late type of race.

I think Noble Tune is the one, and i will really press him.

Does Laugh Track stand any chance whatsoever, in hell, to wire those boys in the Alysheba??

I am not understanding the crazy odds on her.

Such a nice horse.

She'll definitely hit the board...

Maybe I'm nuts but I'm using her in the top spot in a couple of plays.

Watch the replay. The pace was hot, but War Dancer had a ton of trouble at the start. Ateam pointed out the pace kind of negates the trouble. I guess I agree with him. I just think the horse has done nothing wrong on turf. The horse who beat him first out came back to win a Stakes at Keeneland for Pletcher. I also love the way Garcia is riding right now. Check out his turf ride in Belmonts 90k overnight Stakes today.

In the Alysheba I like Take Charge Indy and Hymn Book. Im going to let Cyber Secret beat me and run a big race outside of Oaklawn. Ill admit I always like Take Charge Indy, but he ran well last time. That Cigar Street could be a total monster.

Really tough to come up with a single in this sequence.

He did spot the field a solid 3 lengths in that race. I wanted to downgrade him due to his maiden win; the 3rd, 4th and 5th betting choices all went down in a spill, and he was clear of trouble. But I guess that win at Keeneland showed he was legit. Only question is there's not much speed in the race on Friday.

I love the 'old-school' distance works for On Fire Baby.
