boy,, i got a dummy of a question

so, im looking at capital o t b,,past performances they provide,,,i beleive there provided by equibase,[but i could be wrong]
so heres my question

thursday there is a horse running called shamrock kid
its a dirt race
his last line ofr a workout is as follows
01 jun 19 bel 4f ft 50 .50 b 57/59

so i presumming thiswork reading this was on dirt

now
in the 5th a horse called queen medb ire
its a turf race
his last line for a workout is as follows
30 may 19 sar 4f ft 49.23 b 19/47

my question is im thinking a turf horse would work out on turf and a dirt horse on dirt,, but with the way this provider puts out there workouts,,,i cannot decipher if workouts are on turf or dirt,, unless of course im missing somehing
i cant tell not just these horses but the whole card ,, am i just not seeing a turf mark or something? if anyone has time,, and has it, scrool through thursday caard at belmont and tell me what im missing thank you

without looking at the pps: you should clearly see a circled "T" if the workout is on turf. It's rare for any horse to work on the turf.....tracks want to save the turf course for actual races. Others on here will probably know better, but I believe even turf horses usually train on dirt.

Queen Medb’s workouts have been on dirt. I believe most, if not all, PPs use dirt as the default. If it’s on another surface like turf then there will be something that specifically indicates that.

In general, the only horses that are allowed to work on the grass are stakes horses. The exception is Saratoga, which has a grass training track (Oklahoma Training Track) that any horse can work on. I'm not sure how many months of the year that training track is open for. I think it's open for around 5-6 months of the year. And Palm Meadows Training Center down in Florida has a grass course that any horse can train on.
