He's the Atlanta Braves without even 1 ring. Far as Farve goes, I don't think he's rated that highly by most people. The press talks a lot about him, because the guy loves the action. He usually provides them an entertaining game to show. Of course, Fantasy People adore personal stats accumulated in the regular season. They'd probably adore Marino, but their emphasis is not on winning rings, or even getting to the final game.

Oh really now?

So you resort to that cheap throw out---a title.Convenient for you.

This means Sonny Jergenson wasn't sa hot. and Bart Starr was the best, aye?

And Marino got to the final game.

Makes no difference. There is no coach with any brains who wouldn't take Marino over Favray.

Off Indy, they would be pressed to win three games. What other player could you say that about? (not a fan by the way)

Palomalu is up there.

I think last season proved what an awesome player Palomalu is and how much he was missed. Anyone other than me notice the difference in the Steel Curtain this year?

A player can have some awesome stats for thier career. It all comes down to how many Super Bowl rings they have and playoff games they have won.

I guess you think the Steelers are the same as last year. The defense looks a look better with Polamalu in thier. Just curious who do you think is the best player in the NFL?

Listen,CrashCar...this isn't the partisan ploys thread.

You said the best player....not the tag-a-long members of TEAMS good enough to get there.

You jump the gun, it's not only his return game...it's his leading the team in kick coverage tackles as well...and playing rb, wr and qb.

His talent, toughness and team attitude trump your steroid pump of a lesbian any day.

ANY DAY.

Sorry I forgot to remind you about the pigs being the only six time Super Bowl winning franchise in the history of the NFL. Have the Brownies ever made it to the Super Bowl. I dont even know if they ever made it to the conference championship game. If they did was it when Brian Sipe was the QB. From what I have seen and heard so far I think McCoy has a bright future in the NFL. Im hoping he gets to play for a better team some day. I guess you dont think 28-10 is a sh t kicking. Stats dont matter, only the score matters. Cribbs could of contributed to four touchdowns but if the score was 31-28 in favor of the pigs, then who give a sh t about stats. Stats are more of a personal thing. Unfortunately all that some players care about are thier own stats and not about the team winning.

You may well be a bigger idiot than Riot.

I was talking about present day, as you were. Now you jump into the historical record. You wanted my opinion of the best player in the nfl and I gave it to you. Then you comeback with he doesn't have super bowl appearances.Your head needs to stay in one place;you've been dancing with Riot too long.

And so you continue with the stats don't count shuffle ...I haven't brought up stats once!! Not once!

The Steelers should have won that game 56-0...given the Browns condition on what players played.Especially with a rookie qb appearing for the very first time.

I think , even with all this...you only were ahead 14-10 in the 4th quarter.

Not exactly awe inspiring.

Just for your historical noodle...they got there 3 times ...the AFC.

Sipe wasn't the qb in any of them.....none.

I can't believe this colossal fool is bragging about beating Cleveland with a raw rookie qb....and other key players out.

This can't be happening.
