Important info, I will try and do a post each day leading up with the contenders.

Broadcast Information

The Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting, and Herding group competition will be televised live Monday on USA Network from 8-9 PM ET and continuing on CNBC from 9-11 PM ET. The Sporting, Working, Terrier, and Best In Show competition will be televised live Tuesday on USA Network from 8-11 PM ET.

Breed judging highlight videos are available throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday on the Westminster Web site. These highlights will be available after the show, as well.

There have been a total of 299,024 dogs entered in Westminster's 134 shows through 201

How bout that?

Not cheap to love dogs, nor should it be.

Reserved Seating-in sections 40-299. Good for both day and night events. They can be purchased through the WKC office, as well as, Ticketmaster and MSG. Ticketmaster and MSG offer single day purchases. The price for these tickets through the WKC office is $130. Ticketmaster and MSG price is $120 plus applicable fees.

General Admission tickets are also good for both day and night events but DO NOT HAVE AN ASSIGNED SEAT NUMBER. The seating is on a first come first served basis and can only be purchased through Ticketmaster and the MSG box office. These seats are in sections 300 and 400. You may purchase a ticket for one day @ $40, or a two day ticket for $75. There is a children's ticket (up to age 12) price of $20 for each day, plus applicable fees.

Sort of like Going to the US Open. LONG and you see much more on tv. If you go to the day shows it is almost too exhausting to go to the evening shows.

Think I would just go to the night show after going to dinner...but good to know. It might be like football these days. All I can say I love it and will have to go at least once in the next few years....Thanks for the info.

I have great respect for herding and working groups.

But I'm a Sporting guy myself.

There is no such thing as a bad dog...I know many wonderful Pitts which is what makes me hate Vick and I don't use that word lightly.

The Puli always makes me smile :)

That may work out. We went during the day, toured the back prep area. Think 5000 people in a room with 500 capacity. If we just had gone to both night shows my opinion may have been different but it was like a job. Fwiw my wife bugged me for 5 years to go and hasn't mentioned going back.

Sounds like the one Nascar race I went to.
