DRF down?
 

I haven't been able to access DRF for the last twelve hours.

Any other problems out there?

Yeah, I could not get them this morning.

It's not as bad as what happened at Emory University.

This is beyond embarrassing. It's been down since 7:00 PM last night.

Just tried to access the site a few minutes ago, still down. Got a standard 404 error.

Apparently it was a massive power outage at their data center.
That is not a good excuse. A data center shouldn't be without a transfer switch and backup power.

And then the knuckle heads refer us to another address that won't load!

Most major hosting companies have generator backups and a quick power outage shouldn't be an issue. However, if the actual equipment/server was damaged and they chose to move to another server location it could take up to 24hrs for the ip address to propagate.

This outage will effect the print edition of the DRF, expect delays.

How in the hell can this possibly occur in this day and age? Is it 1995 or something? You have no redundancy whatsoever? NONE??!!! No backup server farm? No tertiary cloud? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING??!! Wow. And these hacks have your credit card data...
