A 21 yr old putting 900 dollars on one race.???Be honest dude...with urself and others...

Gander 02-15-2007 03:28 PM

I made those kind of bets when I lived at home with the rents too. Not that big of a deal. Gamblers are highly enterprising people, they find ways to save money to gamble by avoiding outrageous costs such as rent, cable, heating bills, etc. Sometimes they even go as far as dumping the old girlfriend because spending money on her cuts into their wagering

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:30 PM

lol u guys always knock me, the truth is ... i live with my fiance and 3 yr old son and i think i do good for myself having 900 to bet on a horse, but like i said if he loses this one will hurt. good luck guys

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:32 PM

10-1 with 18 min to post, i am a little suprised with this

Gander 02-15-2007 03:34 PM

You realize how little money is bet at Gulfstream during the week(TOY TRACK)? Especially with 18 MTP?

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:35 PM

yea

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:38 PM

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:42 PM

Gander 02-15-2007 03:44 PM

put the $900 on his nose. That's what I would do if I were you.

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:50 PM

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:53 PM

Coach Pants 02-15-2007 03:55 PM

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 03:58 PM

Coach Pants 02-15-2007 03:59 PM

Gander 02-15-2007 04:01 PM

I guess I can kiss my beer at simulcast goodbye now.

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 04:03 PM

lol yes you can kiss that goodbye

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 04:04 PM

why is this Lose i took funny, i thought we handicappers stick together ?

Gander 02-15-2007 04:07 PM

I never said it was funny. I find it funny that you would be so willing to bet $900 and not buy me a $3 beer after I praised your Corinthian bet last week. Thats what I find very funny. I've looked for you at Simul and even shouted out Point Given with no bites. Beginning to think you may not exist.

POINTGIVEN1985 02-15-2007 04:12 PM

i havent been there in 2 weeks now, and i wont be there for at least another 2 cause of florida trip, i wasent talking about you with the funny comment, im going march 10 for sure, we will meet that day and i will buy you a beer.

Coach Pants 02-15-2007 04:13 PM

I'm laughing about something else

hoovesupsideyourhead 02-15-2007 04:14 PM

I didn't bet the race. I just don't bet place or show. That's what I meant by putting it all to win.

On track. Least of all me. That Bravo wire job boat race for the $85 number was a bummer. 50. 1:14 and no one goes with him, laughable. The last race with Massonette 1% of 143 mounts, pulled up at GP after 1st call in last race. ? Magnificent. Although, I must admit , the horse did in fact look ready to run in the paddock, but I figured he'd only do a half this time. But in fact he did a 46. half and kept on going. When they were between the first and second call I told my buddy, comeone lets go, its another putover.

Do note however, that there was one horse who was very studdish in the paddock for the 6th race, #5 Perfect Bullet, who was trying to run with 5 legs for 15 minutes . And he got bet down to, unbelieveably, and ran a credible. Tab back.
