Great News For Me

I now have a syndicate to play some Pick 4's and an occasional stab at the Magna 5 on Saturdays. We talked at great length today at Beulah about how we would do this since I am not able to attend every Saturday like he is, seeing how I have to work most weekends:eek: I have never had a regular "gambling partner" if you will but I am very excited about our chances at a score or two during the course of the next couple of months. I would HIGHLY recommend this to the other novice players that read this board. Small investment on a weekly basis with someone you trust. Every Friday evening we will talk the card over, my partner is a very experienced player and has seen many ups and downs of playing the ponies. I will just sit back and listen. Our arrangemnt is simple, I trust his judgement. If I feel strongly about a horse or two that should be included he will play accordingly. But, the actual ticket structure is his. 50/50 right down the middle. Really, really like the way this arrangement has worked out and now that I am in a financial situation to do it, very excited.

Curt: really hope it works out for you!

Sounds good.

If you find the right type of person(s), that can be lots of fun.

no worries, it was a good line...I resisted even calling them for a quote for a long time because I despised their ad campaigns...but sometimes being stubborn is just stupid

You think that's high? I pay $100 a month for car insurance and that's considered cheap down here. Then again, my driving record speaks for itself... LOL

Scav 02-07-2007 10:42 PM

My girl told me that I have 8 years good driving, but I have gotten like 15 tint tickets, 10 no front plate tickets, and 2 speeding tickets......pretty hilarious

That's classic... I've only gotten 4 speeding tickets in my life, but it was how fast I was going that really got me.

85 in a 45, 100 in a 70, 70 in a 50 and 50 in a 35. HAHA

We don't have to have front plates in Florida, so I'm good on that one.

Scav 02-07-2007 10:55 PM

they actually write 100 in a 70....I was going like 110 back from school once and got pinched but the cop wrote it for 83 in a 65. It is common practice in Illinois, unless you are acting like an idiot

Well, I don't know if it's typical or not, but yep, he sure as heck wrote it for me. Ticked me off too... I was late getting back to Orlando for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. Maybe it was a sign from God that I wasn't supposed to get married. Too bad it was a lesson learned too late.

GPK 02-07-2007 11:05 PM

I pay $100 a month and that is with ZERO tickets on my record and all my charges from my accident being thrown out...

Danzig 02-07-2007 11:10 PM

about a thousand every three months :(

and can't WAIT to add my daughter.

Danzig 02-07-2007 11:13 PM

well...about my tab-we had to keep my son on our insurance, or the first thing he would encounter moving out of state with the navy is loss of coverage. can you believer that?! so, we threw a fit-our agent said that even tho the truck would be tagged in ark, that he was still officially a resident of ark, she wasn't going to cover. so we called the main office.
he's 20 now-but 400 of that tab is his alone-and for liability only. highway robbery i tell ya! so 600 for me and tony. it stinks.

point given 02-07-2007 11:34 PM

one better !

Ok, how about this one. I was traveling thru my little town a few years ago , like 30 MPH following a cop car by a length, when he pulls over to the curb, I thought he was going to get some lemonade from a stand the kids setup on the curb. NOPE, he pulls behind me and puts on the flashers. I was dumbfounded ( my normal state :o ), he says, do you know why i pulled you over. I said I didn't have a clue, truly, he writes me up for "tail gaiting his cop car !
