Condi Rice
I just recently finished reading an artilce about her in Time , also I had read other things in the newspaper and seen interviews on T.V. with her . If I were to ever vote for a woman to be President it would be her , she learned Beethoven at 5, graduated from college at 19 and recieved a tenure from Stanford at 26 . She doesnt waver on her beliefs and believes in the priciples of freedom and puts the country first no matter where she is. She is well spoken and can take crtisism with thoughtful and intelligent reply.
I hope she runs someday as I think she would be a great leader for this country. |

I totally agree, this woman is so intelligent she makes most of the candidates for the next election seem like nimrods. I like her style , she is always prepared , she speaks with confidence and knowledge and she makes no excuses when she is confronted with very tender subjects , such as the war in Iraq and world social issues. |

J...the more you speak, the harder I fall:o joking...but I do agree with you. Always been a big fan of hers. |

And by the way..... I'll book any action at any price on her winning her party's nomination..... For some reason....I just can't see her being the top choice of those fine, open-minded, conservative voters ('Sup Repent!) who will be participating in the Republican primary. |

im sure you know who I am talking about... |
The US hasn't elected a single person as President since Buchanan. Rice would never get elected. Here's what First Lady Laura Bush said about her:
"Dr. Rice, who I think would be a really good candidate (for President), is not interested. Probably because she is single, her parents are no longer living, she's an only child. You need a very supportive family and supportive friends to have this job." Okay, whatever, ignoring the dig about Rice not having friends (which is likely not true, seeing as how she's close enough to GW to have called him her "husband" by accident once, tee hee), but what's up with the bias against single people in this country? What, you can only be President if you're married? Of course, Buchanan DID suck... |
I think she'd be an interesting candidate, to say the least. I still probably wouldn't vote for her, but I do like her tenacity, her obviously overwhelming intelligence and her grasp of the way things work. At least she presents herself that way...
I'd have to learn more, but I remember I used to like her, back when she was not a national figure...she came up during the 2000 presidential campaign when we studied it....in high school :) |

What I don't see in her is a connection to a sizable fundraising network. IMO getting the nomination is unfortunately as much about your ability to raise cash as it is anything else. However i think her talent and natural leadship skills would attract the big money folks were she to get involved in the process. I'd love to see it. |
I will not support C Rice. She has zero credibility.
Her previous statements designed to sell the failed "Operation Iraqui Freedom" included the statement, "We don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud over the horizon." She is as vile as the Bush/Cheney junta and the continuing lies they impose on the American public. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2005Jan19.html |

If Rice gets the nomination, I promise to take a **** on the track at the 1/16 pole during the running of the Ky Derby.

She is more literate and well read and profoundly smarter than most of the people that have been presented as candidates for 2008 , you have no idea nor do I of what kind of agenda she would have because at this point the only one she CAN have has to be the same as the Presidents. This woman can recite complete political and historical history of this country when asked to , she is well spoken and very driven. If you ever get a chance read a little bit about Teddy Roosevelts thoughts on U.S. policys and agenda , I think you might be suprised at how agressive he was as far as democratizing the world and the U.S governments role . |

Dude I really dont think she is planning on running this time around , so you can hold yer dookie , save it for ole Hill if she gets in Ill add mine to it and we can gift wrap it and send her a lil present. |

And remember the Maine! Condi is, and will ever be, reminded for being the liar she is. And also one of the most incompetant Sec. of State's that we've ever had in US history. Sorry, Honu...if someone lies you into a war, the truth will finally catch up, sooner rather than later. Vote "Bull Moose"! Don't vote "BULL"! |

I respect you and your opinion. Condi has done nothing to make this country great...in my opinion. No amount of continued lies will be able to deny that fact, nor will all the "kings horses and all the kings men, ever put Humpty-Dumpty (Iraq) back together again." What really makes this country "great" is what Jefferson stated...an informed populace, and therein...the consent of the governed. The present administration has done everything within their power to deny such. |

Dear Lord....here I go...I'm gonna regret this... Wayne...what administration in the last 30 years or so hasn't??? |
Quote:
i thought jefferson only wanted wealthy landowners to have the right to vote. oh wait. wealthy white Male landowners. i hate when people reference him, he was a chickensh!t who could write. thought that the constitution should severely limit fed power, and then proved himself a hypocrite with his louisiana purchase... |
I'm not by any means making any implications on Wayne, but it just seems all to fashionable for people to continously bash whatever current administration happens to be in office....whether it be a Republican or a Democrat. It's the same old song and dance...
