Tampa Tues./Pick 4

Race 6 - Alw 19200 N1X Abt. 1 Mile Turf

2 - Special Fan (7-2) Been off since July. Proctor can get 'em ready. Wire to wire threat under Ferrer.
11 - Rain Check (4-1) Ran a decent one first over the grass. Look for a move up today.
7 - Bottom Close (8-1) Should enjoy her first trip over the blades first out for Waunsch.
8 - Dynamic Feature (9-2) Rahy mare will be running late.

Race 7 - Clm 25000 1 1/16 Dirt

7 - Sandy's Secret (5-2) Lezcano/Zaidie team goes for two in a row with this gelding. Won
5 - Oh Oleg (2-1) Just missed behind a repeat winner. Can handle the step up in class. 2nd

Race 8 - Clm 6250 1 1/8 Dirt

5 - Smart October (5-2) Never been off the board at Tampa and at this distance. 2nd
7 - Goldinrunner (2-1) Centeno/Bennett clicking at 29%. Will try to lead them wire to wire. Won
3 - Inside Lane (5-1) Parade Ground gelding has a tendency to hang. New connections may wake him up.

Race 9 - OC 32k/N2X Abt. 1 Mile Turf

8 - Come Close (5-1) Off since Oct 3., but Sheppard knows how to get them ready. Will be flying late.
6 - Go Directlyto Jail (3-1) Zaidie has 46% winners first off the claim. He has taken his time getting this one back to the track, however, his go to man Lezcano takes the call. Won
4 - Utmost Respect (10-1) Numerous gelding sports wins on both surfaces at Tampa this meet.

The $48 play:

6 - 2,7,8,11
7 - 5,7
8 - 3,5,7
9 - 6,8

PK4- these turf races are tough, could have gone deeper than 4 in both the 6th and 9th

R6) 148 11 (#1 Royal Regan should take this race IMO, the winner in his last outing sliped up the rail, though this is a tough race)

R7) 57

R8) 37 (#3 Inside Lane was just claimed by the same stable im involved in a partnership with, the added distance and the bump up in class shouldn't be too big of a hurdle)

R9) 2468 (had to "limit" myself to 4 in this race, but i wouldn't be surprised if any of these horses won in this race)

4x2x2x4= $64
1-7-7-6= $79.70
trying to beat the #2 in the 6th to start it off, but i need a backup plan just in case

R5) 12
R6) 47
R7) 37
R8) 467

2x2x2x3= $24
1-7-7-6= $79.70
gl all

I'm looking at race 3 right now with 15 minutes to post, and really think a bomb is going to come in. I really like the 1 hole at Tampa, and think Super Partner is capable of running a big race.

Race 3

$10 WPS
#1 Super Partner

Coach Pants 02-06-2007 12:52 PM

ohhhh man. The 1 didn't get there.

Bigsmc 02-06-2007 01:20 PM

Race 5

I think Brittany Arterburn wanted to get a hot dog in the clubhouse. She was 8 paths wide in an 8 horse race. Jared'stemper ran on well in the stretch to bad he was given no shot by Brittany. One to look for next out.

Bigsmc 02-06-2007 01:43 PM

Race 6

The 1 may win this, but I don't get how a 1 for 17 lifetime horse is 8-5 in ANY race.

Agreed. Not a very good chalk. But in some races, I'm not sure there really can be.

Coach Pants 02-06-2007 01:49 PM

Normally I would complain going 4 deep and getting the chalk but this time I am relieved. He was a last minute inclusion.

I was wrong.

Didn't think the others would let him jog a 49 and 4 and a 1:14 and change either.

Yeah that was a screwball race.

The Bid 02-06-2007 02:04 PM

Punchie the price Gohberdahn is going gate to wire in the 7th

The Bid 02-06-2007 02:23 PM

He forgot to get to the wire. Got the gate part right

Coach Pants 02-06-2007 02:25 PM

Punchie must be starving. Haven't seen that name since the mid 90's at Ellis Park.

I don't think you were wrong. Horses have tried many many times and not been successful should rarely be bet as chalk.

Bigsmc 02-06-2007 03:14 PM

Nice going PP, BT and ARyan.

Better than what I got.

A winner is a winner you can't control the payout.

Any excuse for me to avoid my job.

Tried to beat the chalk in the 6th...didn't work out too well.

Looking forward to your Thursday input.

Thoroughbred Fan 02-06-2007 04:16 PM

Congrats to all that hit and $79 ain't too bad....looks like two more free P4s to me. Roll the dice again.
