I have been looking at the Pick 3 for races 6-8

I am tossing Pussycat Doll because of the layoff since 5/6/6

Your thoughts?

I think she towers over the field. I tossed her last time on Oaks Day because of the three month layoff and got burnt so won't make the same mistake again. Put her over Indian Flare with Squallacious or Mayfield in third. Should be a chalky tri but at least it shouldn't cost much to hit.

I picked against her because Frankel's horse looks as fast on her best and she has had a race over the track, but it would probably be foolhardy to leave Pussycat out of exotics. It doesn't look like she's ever lost off a layoff.

Chalky:( in races 1,2,4.

after thinking it over, I singled the *****. I like Mike Pegrams style, and know that him and Baffert are good friends (a good book I read last year had a chapter devoted to Pegram, the owner of *****)

Pegram likes to drink beer and hang with common folk according to this book, etc etc

Of course she fired today.....No odds.I got 11 or 12-1 on her last time,and she couldn't have been less interested in running.

Scav,the way I do it(after years of chasing..you learn this) is to cap your losses on any particular day(but keep how much you can win per day.....wide open.)So,you start the day with a certain amount,and if your picks are sorry,then oh well......You got the next day to play better.You need a night's sleep before you spend any more than you started the day with.You have to be strong enough to control the situation.Chasing is weak,and beneath all of you people.....Wait a day.

Wow. She just blew by them. Smart move by Go Go to take her back behind the top four.

I guess the 1:10 breeze was an indication, even if it was Baffert on the morning works.

Waisting a 5 deep leg to get the 2/1 favorite has to be the worst feeling in the world, I actually think I subconscience toss low price horses when I am going deep in a leg so I don't get that feeling
